Bill and his dog Gus were relaxing in a shady spot under a handsome elm tree. The attractive pin-up ladies were making their rounds with 50/50 tickets. John’s familiar voice was coming through the speakers. Everybody was smiling and happy to be back at the Chestermere Show and Shine. I saw a lot of cars which were out for the first time this year, as well as a lot of friendly, happy dogs. Thanks to John Kittler and his volunteer crew for this well-run, fabulous event.

Thanks, Bill and Gus. The surgery on my left foot went well and I’m wearing one of those big air-cast boots. If you see someone on crutches at the shows, it will probably be me.
