This show, sponsored by Zegil Automotive and Pure Country Meats, turned out to be a huge success with an excellent turnout of classic vehicles and a huge throng of spectators. It’s common enough to see a 62 Chev Impala hardtop such as the red one in the photos, but to also see a 62 Bel-Air hardtop is a rare sighting indeed.
The red ’62 chev is the first year of the sports coupe roof line, the blue one is a bubble top. The bubble tops were used for the drags as they were lighter.
Hi Brian, I wasn’t aware of that, so good to know, thanks!
