After two years of cancellations, the Didsbury show on Saturday, May 7 should be welcomed enthusiasticaly by hundreds of classic car buffs. The weather didn’t look too promising a few days ago, but according to the latest forecast, if it’s going to rain at all, it will be in the late afternoon. We can expect a high of 14°C with partly sunny skies.
Car clubs with early-season shows have had to scramble to get things organized. Nobody knew what impact the pandemic was going to have on this year’s events and nothing much could be planned. Let’s give the planners some slack if things aren’t as elaborate as they were three years ago.
I’ve posted photos from the Didsbury show in 2019.
The Glendeer A & W in Calgary still hasn’t announced anything official regarding their Friday night Cruising at the Junction shows for this season. If the weather is nice, I expect a lot of cars will show up in any event.
Over the past week, I’ve added a few more shows to the Calendar including Irricana on May 14. They are planning something a little different with a late afternoon classic car parade around town, followed by a show, followed by a drive-in.
