This show was my second stop on Saturday's triple header. After leaving the European show, I was heading to Vulcan but made a quick stop at the Alberta Mustang Auto Club's all-Ford Presidential show. It was a gorgeous, sunny day with beautiful classic cars on Vulcan's main street. When I stopped at the registration table, they had 106 vehicles registered. The European show displayed some rare and seldom-seen classic vehicles including the 1954 Pegaso which was manufactured in Spain. It was considered the fastest car in the world at the time of production. Congratulations to my friend Peter who was out for the first time ever with his 1986 Fiat X1/9 and won "Best in Class." The Calgary Stampede was serving free food at the “Breakfast in the Afternoon” event at New Horizon mall on the northern outskirts of Calgary. It's always fascinating to see a vehicle making its debut at a car show after the owner has spent years restoring it. The Iron Indians held an outstanding show at the military museum for Pontiacs, Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Cadillacs, and GMC trucks. The show featured four very rare Buick GSXs. There were only 44 GSXs manufactured in 1972. Historic main street in Fort MacLeod is the perfect setting for a classic car show. There were some beautiful classics which I hadn't seen before including the 1931 REO and a 1926 Buick.
