Great Falls, Montana – May 2, 2026 – 220 photos
I look forward to the annual trek to Big Sky Country every spring, and this year’s Great Falls, Montana “Crusin’ the Drag” on Saturday, May 2 did not disappoint. There were hundreds of classic vehicles and thousands of spectators on a warm spring day with lots of sunshine. The early morning was crisp and cool when I arrived at 6:15 am to take pictures of the cars as they … [Read more...] about Great Falls, Montana – May 2, 2026 – 220 photos

Amy and Kyle drove their stunning 1935 Chev from Kalispell to show it at tomorrow's "Cruisin' the Drag" in Great Falls, Montana. It's a beautiful day in Great Falls where cars are coming by the Do Bar to register for Saturday's big show where 700+ cars are expected to make an appearance. I ran into Ken from Calgary who is here with his Jaguar. Doug and Mitch drove all the way … [Read more...] about Great Falls, Montana – Preview – May 1, 2026 – 150 photos
Curbside Classics
It's amazing to see how many classic cars are in my Calgary neighbourhood but are never seen at a car show. While walking my dog, or riding my bike in the 'hood I have seen many interesting vehicles. The '59 Olds Ninety-Eight was just spotted yesterday. I've been following the restoration work on the '62 Chev Impala which is located about a block from my home. I spotted the VW … [Read more...] about Curbside Classics
Calgary Spring Thaw – Apr 19, 2026 – 250 photos
Car show season surged into high-gear on Sunday at Heritage Park Historical Village in Calgary for the Spring Thaw event. The turnout was nothing short of spectacular considering there was a raging blizzard and a foot of snow on the ground on Thursday. Anecdotal reports give the vehicle count at 375 and up. Early morning arrivals could see their breath but as the sun … [Read more...] about Calgary Spring Thaw – Apr 19, 2026 – 250 photos
Countdown to the 2026 Car Show Season
As the Chinook winds start to carry the scent of spring, the hibernation is almost over. After a long winter of wrenching in the garage and dreaming of open roads, the 2026 Southern Alberta car show season is officially on the horizon. The work behind the scenes hasn’t just been happening in the garages. For the past three months, I’ve been meticulously compiling this year’s … [Read more...] about Countdown to the 2026 Car Show Season
No, I don’t own a vintage Thunderbird
The other day, someone asked me about my vintage Thunderbird. I didn't know what they were talking about until they explained to me that it was posted on the internet. I thought I better do a search and see what Google and AI were saying about me. It was mostly accurate except for being a photographer and the last bit about the Thunderbird. … [Read more...] about No, I don’t own a vintage Thunderbird

2025 Season in Review
The Southern Alberta Car Show Calendar looks pretty forlorn and bleak with nothing listed. At one time, there were 220 shows on the calendar, exactly the same number as 2024. I created posters for 75 of those shows. That doesn’t count all the weekly shows which would add dozens more to the schedule. The 2023 calendar had 193 shows and in 2022 there were 145 shows. I … [Read more...] about 2025 Season in Review
Leader, SK – Oct 4, 2025 – 53 photos
It was a gorgeous autumn day in Leader, Saskatchewan for the Classic Fall Festival. Monty was showing his glistening 71 Dodge Charger for the first time ever. He originally owned the car as a teenager but had … [Read more...] about Leader, SK – Oct 4, 2025 – 53 photos

There was a huge turnout of cars on this beautiful autumn day with 1028 paid registrations and thousands of spectators. It was the first time ever at a car show for John Barrett's 1954 Chrysler Imperial, the first photo in the gallery and at the side. Over 400 vehicles took advantage of a beautiful afternoon and evening for The Big One at Taillight Tuesday in Swift Current. Little Chicago(Moose Jaw, SK) – Sep 13, 2025 – 250 photos
It's believed Al Capone traveled by train from Chicago to Moose Jaw on the Soo Line Railroad in the 1920s to avoid the heat from police in the United States, using Moose Jaw as a temporary sanctuary. The underground tunnels in Moose Jaw were used by bootleggers to transport illegal liquor, including Canadian whiskey, across the border to the U.S. Moose Jaw was a "good time … [Read more...] about Little Chicago(Moose Jaw, SK) – Sep 13, 2025 – 250 photos
