Car Show photos from Southern Alberta

The Iron Indians held an outstanding show at the military museum for Pontiacs, Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Cadillacs, and GMC trucks. The show featured four very rare Buick GSXs. There were only 44 GSXs manufactured in 1972. Historic main street in Fort MacLeod is the perfect setting for a classic car show. There were some beautiful classics which I hadn't seen before including the 1931 REO and a 1926 Buick. I'm coming to the realization that some of the best "car show food" is served up at the senior's homes. Today, at Aspen Heights Retirement Residence, we enjoyed bratwurst, burgers, chicken wings, corn on the cob, pasta salad, cake and pop. The first photo in this set is a 66 Chrysler with a somewhat unique feature - it has a "three on the tree" standard transmission. By the time the sixties rolled around, it was rare to see a luxury brand such as Chrysler with a manual gearbox.
