It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day in Magrath for their annual car show and parade. It was a well-organized event with the vehicles lined up in three rows on Harker Avenue, allowing for a smooth transition into parade formation. I was thrilled to see Bert and son Geoff arrive in their 1925 Ford Model T and watch it being driven in the parade. Magrath has the widest streets of any town I’ve ever seen. They had three rows of vehicles and still plenty of room for traffic to go in both directions and with cars parallel parked at both curbs.
