Talk about rare! A 1948 REO Speed-Wagon. My internet research indicates only 200 of these trucks were built, and there are only 20 in existence. Hold on, make that 21. The cars were fantastic but the highlight of my day was meeting and talking with the former premier of Saskatchewan, Brad Wall. I decided to pay a visit to the far reaches of the NiceOldcars empire and attended Classic Cruise Wednesday at the Medicine Hat mall. It was a beautiful day for a car show in Claresholm with a good turnout of vehicles and spectators. I was impressed with the two old Packards, a 1938 and a 1940, which looked like they came right out of the showroom. I was on my way to Picture Butte but I'm glad I stopped at Champion for coffee and muffins. The event was billed as "Cars and Coffee" for the morning of Canada Day.
