The graph shows a consistent trajectory towards the sky. How long can it continue? I know we attracted a lot of new readers from Redcliff and Medicine Hat this week. Welcome, everyone!
The original purpose of setting up this website was to give car show enthusiasts a non-Facebook site where they could look at photos from the various shows I attend. A lot of people hate Facebook and don’t participate, and require an alternative if they are going to stay in the loop. The insidious way that Facebook uses our information is reason for concern, but it seems to be a necessary evil these days.
I wasn’t planning on doing a calendar, but after talking to a number of people who were frustrated without an up-to-date schedule of shows I started one for southern Alberta and it has morphed into the most complete listing of shows in the south, and is now the most popular page on this website.
The calendar contains 112 shows and that doesn’t include any of the weeknight gatherings or cruises. Updating it everyday has kept me busy!
I talked with a number of my readers at the Iron Indians show yesterday and learned that people are recommending this site to their friends, both non-Facebook and Facebook friends.
I also heard feedback that a lot of people appreciate the archived photos that I include when listing a show. It gives car owners an idea of what to expect at the venue they are considering attending.
Yesterday, June 19, we set a single day record with 1566 visits, and the weekly total at 6235 was also a new record. Thanks for checking in!
