This was a lot more than a car show. Magrath Days was in full swing including a very enjoyable parade with many classic vehicles, floats, and horses. The town of Nobleford held a car show in conjunction with their summer celebration known as Heritage Day. The small town shows always hold some surprises, namely, locally-owned cars which I've never seen before. Zegil Automotive and Pure Country Meats held an excellent show at the Strathmore Agricultural Exhibition grounds. The sketchy weather probably kept a few cars from coming but it turned into a pleasant day after a few early morning sprinkles. I visited one more car show in Saskatchewan before heading back to Alberta. My only memory of Indian Head while living in Saskatchewan was going there on a class trip in about grade five. We took a step back in time at Alberta's oldest general store where Beverley, the proprietor, is keeping the past alive at this quaint and authentic piece of history. Calgary – Aspen Heights has the best car show lunch

The car owners were well-fed at the Aspen Heights Retirement Residence car show today. Steak, two choices of salads, wraps, corn on the cob, and a variety of pastries for dessert. Coke, orange, and root beer completed the feast. In addition to the delicious lunch, the residents were treated to some nice old cars to bring back memories and reminisce about days gone by.
