It was a pleasure to meet Ben and Diane who came all the way from Salmon Arm, BC with their gorgeous 1954 Lincoln Cosmopolitan. It is unusual for a luxury car because it doesn't have power steering, power windows, or power seats. I finally made it to a Red Deer Cruise night and was impressed by the quality of the vehicles. It was a beautiful, sunny day for the Beiseker Lions first ever car show. I was amazed to see the 1911 Pierce-Arrow truck from Pioneer Acres in Irricana with solid rubber tires. The 56 Lincoln reminded me of the farmer back home who got rich when they discovered oil on his land. He went to the city the next day and bought a black 56 Lincoln. This was a lot more than a car show. Magrath Days was in full swing including a very enjoyable parade with many classic vehicles, floats, and horses. Hundreds, maybe thousands, of spectators lined the streets on a beautiful summer morning to watch the proceedings.
