We took a step back in time at Alberta’s oldest general store where Beverley, the proprietor, is keeping the past alive at this quaint and authentic piece of history. When the store was built in 1901 there were no cars on the road so it was fitting that a couple spectators showed up on horseback. I was amazed to see Matt’s all-original 1952 Mercedes for the first time ever along with his 13-year-old German Shepherd Sadie. This was the Cochrane Classic Car Club’s regular Thursday night get-together and they couldn’t have picked a better spot for a classic car show. Bottrel is about 20 minutes north of Cochrane.
