Over 400 vehicles took advantage of a beautiful afternoon and evening for The Big One at Taillight Tuesday in Swift Current. As for taking photos, at one point the cars were coming in faster than I could keep up with them. Thanks to organizer Dustin Vipond and all the volunteers from Rogue Cruisers for an amazing show.
I love coming back home to Saskatchewan and talking with all the friendly people. I worked in Swift Current in the seventies at CKSW Radio. I would walk downtown from my apartment at the top of Central Ave at 5:30 in the morning to the CKSW studios where the responsibility fell on me to flip the switches, bring the station to life, and sign on to host the 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. morning show.
At the car show, I went over and talked to a lady who arrived in her shiny red 1949 Chev pickup. As I discovered later, the person turns out to be Leanne Tuntland-Wiebe who I worked with at the radio station 50 years ago. It was a reminder that no matter how many miles you travel or years go by, the roads here always lead you back to good people and unforgettable memories.

Nice bunch of cars etc.
