The town of Nobleford held a car show in conjunction with their summer celebration known as Heritage Day. The small town shows always hold some surprises, namely, locally-owned cars which I’ve never seen before. Among the vehicles which I saw for the first time was Ralph Turner’s stunning 1936 DeSoto Airstream. Not to be confused with the futuristic and somewhat unpopular Airflow predecessor, the Airstream was a more conventional design and this one is in remarkable restored condition and still has its original flathead six cylinder 241 cubic inch motor. Thanks to the organizers and all car owners for a great show.
(As part of my double-header, I also attended the Magrath show and will post photos in the coming days)
