I enjoyed a terrific car show in Diamond Valley on Sunday. The pleasant weather produced a large turnout of vehicles and spectators. This show was my second stop on Saturday's triple header. After leaving the European show, I was heading to Vulcan but made a quick stop at the Alberta Mustang Auto Club's all-Ford Presidential show. I'm glad I stopped in because I saw Roger's all-original 68 Mustang. The European show displayed some rare and seldom-seen classic vehicles including the 1954 Pegaso which was manufactured in Spain. It was considered the fastest car in the world at the time of production. Congratulations to my friend Peter who was out for the first time ever with his 1986 Fiat X1/9 and won "Best in Class." The Calgary Stampede was serving free food at the “Breakfast in the Afternoon” event at New Horizon mall on the northern outskirts of Calgary. It's always fascinating to see a vehicle making its debut at a car show after the owner has spent years restoring it. At Sundre's show, Brandon was proudly displaying his 1959 International after many years of meticulous work and what a fantastic truck he now has. He completed restoration work only three days ago.
