We couldn’t have asked for better weather at the West Country Cruisers show in Sundre. It was originally scheduled for late June, but this beautiful, sunny day was worth the delay.
It was great to run into Earl, who was showing off his recently acquired, beautiful 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS. He was beaming, and this is its very first official show appearance under his ownership!
There were a number of other interesting cars which I was seeing for the first time including the 1986 Dodge Omni GLHS Shelby. I never equated a Dodge Omni with high-performance and this rare car was one of only 500 built.

Frank showed up with his recently acquired 1963 valiant convertible. This car brought back lots of memories as their family car back in the day was a 63 Valiant although not a fancy rag top.
I was impressed with Joe’s spectacular red 1939 Chev pick-up which he brought all the way from Millet, Alberta. It featured a swing-out windshield(or tilt-out windshield) which was an effective method of natural climate control before modern air conditioning.
Thank you to the West Country Cruisers for a terrific show.
