I attended four Wild Wednesdays this summer and collected photos of the older vehicles in attendance. The weekly event seems to have evolved into a showcase for newer vehicles and tuners but you can still see a dozen or so classic vehicles at any given show.
At the first show of the season on June 4, I was drawn like a magnet to Doug’s 1955 shiny red Thunderbird. It turns out he was showing it for the first time after working on it for the last few months where it became a family project with his daughters. I appreciate seeing cars where the owner has kept it completely stock, even the wheels. The car retains its original 292 V-8 and automatic tranny. Doug was thrilled to discover there is a calendar which lists all the upcoming car shows. I hope to see this beautiful car at many future shows in southern Alberta.
Wild Wednesday is a weekly show held at Lift King’s shop at 4914 – 6 St NE, Calgary. I’m posting photos below of the older cars which were on hand at shows on Jun 4, Jul 9, Jul 30, and Sep 24 which was the final show of the season.

I got to chat with Doug during the meeting. Great guy and good conversation.
