Once it was a town a few miles from Calgary but Shepard is now a part of Calgary in the deep southeast. Thirty years ago I drove past this location frequently during the summer as I was hauling my race car to Race City Speedway. It’s nice to have a new venue in the city for a car show. With the good weather, there was a sizeable turnout for this first ever show. One suggestion: mow the two-foot-high weeds in the spectators parking lot.
Nice to meet you Bob at the Shepard show . We left shortly after and noticed you got a pic of me rolling in to McKenzie Town shortly after .haha. You are definitely a man on the move. I see you covered the vette show also after that . Wow. great pics . Thanks for all you do to keep us informed of where all the shows are . You are the go to for all the car guys to choose their show to attend on the weekends .
Thanks, Lee
Hi Lee, thanks for your comment. I had a most enjoyable day at those three car shows. -Bob
Thanks Bob for chatting with us and for the compliment on our 1964 Ford Galaxy. You definitely have a great eye for older vehicles because you mentioned you hadn’t seen our car before. Your correct, it has been a few years since we attended one but wanted to support Shepard. See you around.
